• I will update the stock regularly but if you have a specific request feel free to contact me, I am happy to do custom orders but there will be a waiting list.

  • I am happy to make things from your own scraps, please contact me for a quote.

  • This will be stated on each necklace listed as they vary according to the scrap used.

It is possible to add a straight extension panel to make the necklace longer, please contact me if required.

  • I am a WAHM (work at home mum) with 2 very young children so will sew as and when I can so please bare with me, I will try to list items as regularly as I can.

  • I normally use strong Kam snaps but also occasionally metal pearl snaps. If you have any metal allergies please let me know. I can also make a tie fastening on request, and extension panels you would like a longer length necklace.

  • The necklaces are to be worn by adults only.

  • Yes, they certainly help distract my little one’s wondering hands! And many of my customers have reported the same!

  • All the wraps scraps I use are made by reputable companies that only use safe dyes that will not harm the baby if sucked! Infact many of my babywearing parents say it helps to stop them from sucking and damaging their wraps and carriers!

  • It is always best to handwash them, and preferably just use warm soapy water, you can also use detergents such as ecover but please ensure that the detergent is fully rinsed from the necklace before wearing again. The teethers are naturally antibacterial but should they need washing just use warm (not boiling) water.

You can also use any mineral based edible oils such as flaxseed, olive, coconut and grapeseed oils for example to help preserve the life of the teether and to renew the natural colours of the woods.

  • It is an accessory for parents to use to attach various things to your baby carriers, such as the wooden teethers, favourite toys, hats etc…. they can also be used to attach to other things as well i.e bags, car seats etc….. but they are to be used and worn by adults only! And must never be left with an unattended baby.

  • I currently do 3 different types of slingamejigs.

The 1st has a hook 1 end which can be hooked onto a toy loop on a baby carrier or a handbag,, keys etc…. the other end has a popper fastening to attach the teether or item of your choice. It could be used for adult items too such as keys to keep them safe!

The 2nd type has popper fastenings both ends, which allows each end to be different lengths so they can be fastened around the strap of a full buckle carrier, a mei tai or even a wrap, the other end is used for attaching the item of your choice i.e teether.

The 3rd type is a clip (suspender type clip) which can be clipped onto adult clothing, bags, baby carriers etc and again the other end with a popper fastening.

  • Yes, please take a look through the pictures in my gallery which give many examples of uses and styles.

  • I do not make them personally, I buy them from reputable and reliable companies that have undergone their own safety standards. I only use the highest quality wooden teethers.

  • Some teethers are smaller and used for necklaces only and the larger ones can be used as hand held teethers.

  • The teethers are made from various woods such as Alder wood, Ash, Maple, cherry, walnut and beech.

  • Yes, if untreated or finished with a natural oil they are much safer and have many more benefits than plastic teethers. Please do be aware of some wooden teethers on the market that are painted! Some of these can be unsafe. I only use natural untreated or wood that’s treated with natural oils such as organic flax oil, which can just help prolong the life of the wood.

  • Some woods are naturally anti-bacterial but should you wish to clean them just wipe them with a damp cloth. Do not use any harsh or harmful chemicals! Do not soak the teethers.

Should you wish too, you can use an extra fine sand paper to sand down, and if required apply a food safe oil such as flaxseed, grape seed or coconut oil lightly to the teether.
